In some countries around the world, the minimun age to be able to vote is lower than the one we have here in Spain, and some people have tried to reproduce same that idea here. But I think it would be a terrible mistake.
ResponderEliminarThe minimum age most people request is 16 years old. It's the age americans, for example, are able to get their driving license. But being honest, I think sixteen year olds are nowhere near having the mental awareness and responsability to vote a politic party. Young people tend to be very impulsive, and I think that would translate to extremist ideas, which are never what you would want.
And it would actually be much more controlled. Teens these days are all over social media, and are very exposed to advertising and fake news, that some people or accounts may post. Due to being so young and having near to no experience on this kind of situations, they are most likely to believe what they see, instead of finding out wether it's true or not.
In conclusion, I think lowering the minimun voting age here in Spain would definetily not be a good idea. I think the current minimum of 18 is a good place to be, as people mature and make their minds up to what they think and want, and have their own ideas.

Nowadays, in some places like Argentina or Austria, teenagers with sixteen years old can vote in elections. I wonder why this doesn't happen in more countries.
ResponderEliminarFrom my views, we should allow to vote to more people to know the opinion of the youngest citizens. They have something to say in the political decisions too.
Furthermore, if teenagers with sixteen can drive a motorbike, why can the vote?
In addition, the political party "Podemos", want to give the chance of voting to the youngest. I totally agree with him. This can help to charge the policy.
To sum up, I hope that one day teenagers can vote. This can give them more autonomy and can make them think more than they are used to

Nowadays sixteen year olds are not prepared to vote in the national elections at all. Society is getting more and more crazy these days , I don't think we need immature people to make things even harder and more complicated.
ResponderEliminarAs I see it, sixteen year olds don't have their own personal thoughts and opinions , for this reason they get easily influenced by what they see on the television and specially on social media. I think It 'd better if we waited until they learnt some aspects of life that only the pass of years can teach.
Whatsmore, sixteen year olds should be focused on other matters like their studies, practising sports , hanging out with friends … From my point of view politics is a subject that only fully independant working people should care of.
In conclusion sixteen year olds aren't prepared enough to vote due to their immatureness and the lack of experience in their lives.
In my country, each 4 years, the habitants over 18 years old have to vote for a president, but it is quite common that the same old president wins. But now think what's happened if the teenayers could vote.
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion the teenayers shouldn't vote becouse we don't have got any worries and we would vote for the president that offer the best alternative for us and the votes wouldn't favor for the adults.
In fact is impossible to imagine boys with 16 years going to vote at a electoral college and later see them playing soccer at the soccer field.
To sum up, I wouldn't allow that children with 16 years old would vote in the elections. If that happened I think I would move to other country.

Currently, there are countries where teenagers of our age can vote. But I think that today's youth isn't ready to vote.
ResponderEliminarMost teenagers aren't prepared to vote. Voting is a very important issue in a country and that has consequences, positive or negative, that will have an impact on our day to day, so we have to be very clear about our policy thoughts
As a teenager, I am interested in politics, but my concerns are now studies or activities. Many teenagers are influenced by other people's thoughts without reasoning theirs. Lack of maturity also influences this issue.
I think the minimum age assigned to vote is an appropriate age and should not be changed.

ResponderEliminarCurrently, our country is living a difficult period because there are many political groups so it´s proving difficult that these political parties make arrangements. Besides, there many young people who vote to one of them and they don´t know what are the ideas that it represent(something very important from my point of view). So I can say that lower the voting age could result a madness.
ResponderEliminarI disagree with this idea because I think that people who are 18 aren´t enough mature to vote so obviously a person of 16 less. One reason that show it:in the last elections I asked to some of my friends who are of legal age that what was going to vote. Some of them told me that their vote would be what their parents said to them an others just preferred don´t participate in the elections because was day of “derbi”. When I heard it I realised that they don´t have the attitude of adults, their attitude seems to be of children of 6.
In addition, people of 16 usually don´t see the news, don´t read newspapers…they are focused on practising a sport, have a good time with their friends, get good marks….what I mean is that most of them aren´t interested in politics. These hints indicate us that who are 16 is not preparate to make as relevant decisions.
In conclusion.I think that the voting age must be as our days because lower it could be a disaster due to people of 16 don´t have the enough maturity and are not prepared for this responsabilty.

Today young people talk about issues that were unthinkable 20 years ago, such as politics. This topic is increasingly common among teenagers. Therefore, the option of lowering the age allowed to vote at 16 is considered.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, this measure expands the number of opinions to be taken into account in the population. In the field of education I believe that young people would have to be heard in some way like the vote.
On the other hand, I think that lowering the voting age has problems, such as lack of maturity. In addition, many teenagers are not familiar with the subject and will end up following the ideologies of the parents.
To conclude, say that I personally do not agree with this measure. For this decision, personal training is essential, having basic political knowledge and this avoiding external influences.

Nowadays teenagers are not usually very concerned in politics and economy of the country, this can also become a problem since the future depends on the elections of the new generations.
ResponderEliminarNeedless to say, most parents do not usually update their children regarding these issues. In fact, it is usually teenagers who are interested in politics.
On the other hand, it is true, that the rest of these teenagers have enough knowledge to be able to choose and go to vote. But the truth is that if we allow all teenagers from 16 years old to vote, only 3 out of 10 will vote and the remaining votes will be invalid, something unfair to society.
To sum up , I think that 16-year-old teenagers should not vote because most lack that knowledge to be able to choose a political party.

In many countries children with 16 years old vote in national elections. In Spain this is different, because children in Spain aren't usually very concerned about politics topics.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, people with this ages have the mental capacity to know what they want in their contry. Their parents also could teach their children something about this topics if they aren't interested in this.
On the other hand, children with this ages are focuss on their studies, so they usually haven't got time to see the news and inform themselves about politic. They aren't usually interested in this because they are thinking about ather activities.
In conclusion, I think people with 16 years old don't have to vote in national elections because they don't know all they have to know about politic, because they probably don't like politic
Nowadays, there are some countries where teenagers of sixteen years old can vote in national elections, like Australia.
ResponderEliminarFrom my point of view, teenagers shouldn't vote because they are not prepare to vote. Although voting in national elections is a very important issue for a country.
On the other hand, it is true, that some teenagers have enough knowledge to be able to choose and go to vote. Furthermore I think that lowering the voting age has many problems.
To sum up, I think that teenagers of 16 years old should not vote because most of them doesn’t have the enough knowledge to vote a political party.

Voting age is different in some countries. In Spain for example is 18, but in other countries the age is lower. In countries like Austria or Argentina people of 16 could vote.
ResponderEliminarThis fact could have disadvantages. Nowadays young generation is really inmature. Furthermore they get influence by famous people or social medias.
Moreover family could influence in the vote of their children telling them who the have to vote. However, some teenagers could be as mature as an adult person so in some stange cases voting at this age could be good. But this is not normal
In conclusion, i think that voting at the age of 18 is right. I think that people cuold have madurity enough to vote.
