  1. The last week I went to Cadiz with IES Heliche. In this trip we could see a lot of things that we could like or couldn't like.

In my opinion I dislike with the museum `Cortes of Cadiz´ because the people who work there are very disagreeable with children and also I dislike the explanation of first monument due to I didn't listen to the explanation.

On the other hand I liked the chapel where 'Cortes of Cadiz' were done in 1812. Moreover, I think that the best place that I visited was the pinhole camera because I could see Cadiz from upper view and it is excellent. Apart from this in this trip I could learn how ' The First Spanish Constitution' had been done and I think that it is quite interesting.
In conclusion I think that the day in Cadiz worth it because we could learn new things and I liked it and we could enjoy with our classmates in Cadiz too.

  2. Last Wednesday, all the students from the second year of Bachillerato went to Cádiz for a tourist visit of some places that we had studied in History.

On the one hand, the place that I liked the most was "Torre Tavira". In spite of the amount of stairs that you have to climb, at the top of the tower you can see beautiful views of the entire city. Moreover, there was a pinhole camera that was amazing.
Besides, we went to the "Museo de las Cortes" and there I learned a lot of things about how the city was at the time of 1812.

On the other hand, I didn´t really like the "Oratorio de San Felipe Neri". In my view, guide explanation was a bit boring and very long. Although, the place was charming.

To sum up, the tour was very entertaining and I had a great time watching the city with my classmates. Certainly, I would go again.

  4. Our trip to cadiz was excellent. We visited several historical places that all of them have an enormous importance. These paces were the Oratorio of San Felipe, Tavira Tower and the museum of the Cortes.

The first place that we visited was the Oratorio of San Felipe, that is a huge church. At this place we went all classes together. After that, we divided the group. Then, my group visited the museum of the Cortes, where we could see an enormous mockup of the city in t1800. After seeing the museum, we went to the Torre Tavira. We get to the top of the tower and we saw all the city. Then we entered at the camera obscura, wuere we could see the citu in a white pannel. This was the best part from the trip and also the most interesting.

After eating we had a funny time at a big square. There, we saw a women singing with an strange haircut and rare glasses. This was the funniest moment of the trip. All students were laughing and clapping. After that, we went to the bus.

I would reccomend this trip for everybody because it is a good way to learn about a really important city like Cadiz

  5. Last wednesday, we visited Cadiz. First, we visited the monumentof the Courts. Then, we visited the Oratorio of Felipe Neri where a guide gave us a talk. At the end, we saw the Tower Tavira.

I enjoyed a lot when we visited the Tower Tavira. There were a lot of stairs but it was worth it because we saw all the city from there. In Tower Tavira there was a camera obscura that it was fascinating.

I don´t like the visit of the Oratorio of Felipe Neri because the talk of the guide was boring and it bacame long.

In my opinion, the visit was very interesting because we learned a lot of things about the history of Spain.

  6. On November 5, my institute and I went on an excursion to Cadiz to see different places that are related to what we are giving in history and we also saw a kind of impressive machine.

We learned many things on the excursion that was related to the cuts of cadiz in 1812, we saw many things like the Tavira Tower, an oratory, ....

In my opinion I loved the Tavira tower because we could see from the top of the tower all Cadiz and the most important places in this city, I also had a room where there was a kind of special white circle from where you could see any place of Cadiz from that room was awesome !!

  7. My classmates and I went to Cádiz last week and there we visited some important places we were learning in History. We visit the oratory of San Felipe, the museum of the courts and the Tavira Tower.

My favorite place was Tavira tower. Although we had to climb many steps, it was worth it because on the top floor there was something that surprised me. There is a dark camera where all people can see the city. After lunch we all had a good time together listening to a singer in the square of the cathedral of Cádiz.

Although the Oratory of San Felipe was very beautiful, the guide who explained the place was boring and heavy.

I really liked the visit, it was interesting and fun. I would repeat it again.

  8. The last 6 of November I went to Cadiz with my IES Heliche class. In this trip I could see new places of Andalucia that I never saw. Also, I could learn a lot of history about my country.

The worst place in my opinion was de museum, I didn't like the way that the workers attended us. Also, i didn't like the Oratory because it was too big and I could't hear the explanation.

On the other hand I liked the Tavira Tower, and the dark room in the top of the tower altough I had to walk up a lot of stairs. Also I had a good time on the cathedral with my friends and was very funny when we all started singing with the street performer.

In conclusion i think that the day in Cadiz was a very good day and I'm sure that I will go again.

  10. Last Wednesday we went on a school trip to Cádiz to visit some places of important cultural interest related to the Cortes de Cádiz, where the Constitution was signed.

The only thing I disliked was the Monumento a las Cortes. Well, I was amazed by the monument but that's not the pint. The thing is I coluldn't listen very well the explanation about it and I felt a bit dissapointed.

I liked everything else. But the thing I liked the most was the "camara obscura" in Torre Tavira (placed on the tallest point of Cádiz). I was absolutely impressed by the quality of the beautiful city images, which were projected in real time onto a white surface.

In conclusion, the trip was great, I learnt a lot about Cádiz and Spain and I'd love to repeat it.

  11. Probably, the best moments of my life have been in a small town in Cádiz. For 11 years, i have been writing my summers there but i did not know its history until last Tuesday when i went on an excursion with my classmates. Neither its history nor its most important monuments. There, you can see, for the first time, the Tavira Tower, the Museum of Cádiz, the monument to the Constitution of 1812, the Oratory of San Felipe Neri… When the visit was over, i felt frustrated knowing that during so much time, Cádiz, its beaches, and its charm worried about knowing me and meanwhile i have been ignoring the strong appeals of La Tacita de Plata.

Personally, i believe that history is learned this way, visiting and knowing, physically what is studied. I was able to learn many things on this little trip about the past of that wonderful city. Something what caught my attention was the Tavira Tower. Not only for their views, which amazed me, but also for the Dark Chamber. This involves the projection of an image on a while concave horizontal screen that is in a completely dark room. The result is the reflection of live images of what is happening in the city.

I really liked everything we could visit on the tour. But i would have also organized a visit to the Grand Theater Falla. As we know, Cádiz goes hand in hand with carnival. You close your eyes in the city of Cádiz and you will hear a chirigota, even a tear may fly with a comparsa. I would have liked to know a little bit about the history of the theater, probably the most endearing one in the south.

Finally, I would like to finish summarizing my experience. I was able to spend a beautiful day surrounded by my classmates and teachers. I also acquired knowledge about the mother of the Constitution. And finally, I could remember some of the best moments of my life and the most precious ones, without a doubt, on those banks with people who continue by my side today after 11 years and with people who have decided to continue to accompany me but now they do from the sky of the Falla. For all this, it was worth it and to spare, wake up that day.

  14. Two weeks ago I went to a trip to Cadiz with my high-school. We had made that trip becouse it would be so important for history subject.

I got surprised when I saw "Las Cortes de Cádiz" becouse in that place had happened one of the most importants moments on history and It was the signed of the "Costitución". I felt like I was living on some centuries ago so that moment was incredible.

However, I dislike so much the actitude of the guides becouse they looks a little bit angry and they were so strict with us. From my point of view the worst moment of the trip was when we visited a little church becouse the talk wasn't interesting enough.

In conclusion, that trip was useful for my level of history and I learned a lot about Spanish culture.

  15. The other day , we went to visit a beautiful, lovely and pleasant city called Cádiz. We did this trip because we have been studying “Cortes de Cádiz” in history´s subject. This was a way to improve ours knowledges about Spain´s hystory.

Firstly, we made our way to a place that is called “ Oratorio de San Felipe neri”. It was a gorgeous church. Even though the church was beautiful, the man who was explaining every single detail of the church was a bit humdrum. Besides, we had not got time to see it well.

After this boring moment, the rest of the things that we saw were very interesting, such as the museum and “Torre Tavira”. In the museum, there was a huge and amazing mock up that represented Cádiz city. The museum was as incredible as “Torre Tavira”. This was the place where there was a pinhole camera. At the moment that we saw this unbelievable tool we were amazed, surprised and open-mouthed . Due the quality of the images and also the friendly woman who explained us how the the pinhole camera worked, made Torre Tavira´s visit spectacular.

For all of these reasons, this trip has been the best school trip I have ever done. Moreover, there was a pleasant relation between students and teachers. The good weather made it possible too. In future I will return to Cádiz to visit Torre Tavira with my family.

  17. Our excursion to Cádiz, last Wednesday, was very interesting, we visited several buildings related to the Cortes of Cadiz, in which the Constitution of 1812 was carried out.

On the one hand one of the things that I didn't like was the museum, but it's the only aspect I can say that I disliked.

On the other hand I really enjoyed the visit to the Tavira Tower, especially the dark chamber, seeing the whole city as if you had a screen in front of it was beautiful and impressive. The visit to the oratory, although it was not so impressive, I enjoyed knowing its history.

Although I disliked the museum a little, I think the tour was amazing and I enjoyed it a lot, one of the smallest ones I've been without a doubt.

  19. Cadiz is a city situated at the south of Spain. It is such a historical city that our high school History teachers decided to take us, students, there last wednesday as a school trip.

To start with, when arrived to the city, we went to see the famous monument of the Constitution of 1812, there I learned what all the people and other things represented in the monument meant thanks to our teacher. Then we went to the Oratorio of San Felipe Neri where a man explained to us that it was an important place for the constitution, this is what I liked least because is was a bit boring.

After that, we visited the Cortes museum where we saw an amazing mockup of the ancient Cadiz apart from some paintings, objects, from the start of the 19 century. And last but not least, we went to the place I liked the most that was the Tavira tower, there we went up to the top of the tower, allowing us to see the whole city. In addition in the tower there was a camara obscura which impressed me.

In conclusion, it was a wonderful trip as I got to know a new place and learn lots of things from there. Furthermore I could spend the day with friends and have a great time together.
Therefore, this trip was worth it and I’d go again.

  20. Last week I went to Cadiz with my class due to this place is where Spanish Constitution was made and it was what we were studying at that moment. The trip was divided in different parts and each one had a particular objective so I can say that I really like some more than others.

On the one hand,I didn´t like at all the first talk that the history teacher did because I was unable to listen him even though he was talking on a micrphone for the reason that all my mates were making noise.Furthermore,I had a bad time when I came back from the bathroom and I didn´t see the group(I was lost).Luckily, thanks to my friend´s help I was able to integrate again.

On the other hand, one of the things that I most like was the pinhole camera.I had never been in one before so I was speechlees all the time that we were seeing the city through the camera and also was funny to gossip about what people were doing. For me it was the most enyojable activity despite the stairs we had to climb to access there.Besides,I really like the museum, specially the portraits and the model of the city.Another positive point was beeing all together and had a good time in group because we are in our last year of high school so it was a good way to say goodbye though we have a hard year of studies.

To sum up,I found more activities entretaining than dull so I can say that the trip was worth it.

  21. Last Wednesday, my classmates and I visited Cádiz- an historical city located in the south of Andalusia- which let us learn interesting and curious facts about this old town. Not only did we stare at many cultural places but we also spent a great day together having fun.

As for the things I didn't like, The Museum of Cádiz has dissapointed me because I was keen on listening to even more explanations about the portraits so sometimes I was lost and I didn't know what I was looking at, although I couldn't help being amazed with 'La Pepa' painting.
On top of that, the trip was really long so it seemed to me that we spent even more hours travelling instead of visiting the city indeed.

On the other hand, this trip has allowed me to go to many places where I haven't been before. In fact, while we were doing tourism, we have learnt where, when and who signed The Fist Spanish Constitution. We also carried out other activities appart from visiting cultural places like seeing Cádiz views at Tavira Tower. It was amazing!

In conclusion, I reckon it is worth visiting Cádiz and actually I am willing to go there again. Our classmates, our friends and the company in general have enable us to spend a great day together. Because there is no point in doing tourism if you are not comfortable with people who are around you.

  22. The excursion to Cádiz has been a great excursion. I have learned and seen things that I did not know about Las Cortes or the Oratory and the monument as a sign of freedom for the ships that arrived at the port.

What I liked the most was the dark chamber of the Tavira Tower. It is impressive how you can capture so much distance in a 360 degree radius with such good image quality. I also really liked the museum and especially the model of Cádiz so well made and maintained.

What I did not like about the excursion was in the Oratory of San Felipe Neri, not because I did not like the place, it was because of the man who explained everything to us. and another thing would be that they left us little time there although that does not depend on us.

In conclusion, it was very worth it. I enjoyed a great day with my friends and colleagues, I learned and saw new things that I didn't know, it was a great excursion.

  23. Last week, I went with my class on a trip to Cádiz. We mainly went to see monuments related to the Constitution made there, but we also got some time to walk around the city and explore.

I really enjoyed walking around Cádiz, as I had never been there before. I found it quite colorfoul and alive. The beach was also amazing, although it was a little bit cold for a swim. I also loved Torre Tavira, the views you had of the city, and the cathedral was particularily incredible from those heights.

Despite it being very fun and enjoyable, we stayed there until the afternoon, which meant I had to rush home to get everything done in time. And the mix between the hot Sun and cold wind didn´t help with my coff either.

But in the end, it was a great time we spent there, learnt lots about our history, and discovered the beautiful city Cádiz is. And if you haven´t gone yet, what are you waiting for!

  28. On Wednesday of last week we went all 2 of high school excursions to Cádiz with the history course. We went by bus for about 2 hours. We saw many monuments which were built for the year 1812, the year of the Spanish Constitution.

What I liked least about this trip was the bus time and the Museum since I do not usually like museums and there were only paintings which did not explain us quite well and many shelves with which I had doubts.

What I liked the most was without a doubt the Torre de Tavira, although it had many stairs worth getting up. Also before reaching the top we saw the hidden camera, this was undoubtedly my favorite part since you saw Cádiz whole in real time.

In conclusion, it is highly recommended and I would love to show it to my family, as it was mostly impressive. In addition, the guides did the weather and the places very enjoyable. An excursion to repeat!

  29. Last week, my class and I went to Cádiz in an "IES Heliche" programmed school trip. The excursion was awesome! I really enjoyed it a lot. We visited many places and monuments with great historical value like "El Museo de las Cortes" , “El Oratorio de San Felipe ” o “Torre Tavira”.

The excursion was great, but there were some things I didn't like at all. Since we arrived to the museum we were treated like little children apparently for no reason. The museum's guide seemed to be upset with us altough our behavior had been reasonably good.
The other thing I didn't like was the fact we culdn't stay anylonger at the city.

There has been a lot of things that I've enjoyed from this school trip. “ El Museo de las Cortes” was more than espectacular, all the historical pieces were unique. I was so amazed by “La Promulgación de la Constitución” painting, it was incredibly imposing. The other thing that surprised me was the pinhole camera of “Torre Tavira”. We could see the sights of the city, the birds , the cathedral ,the white houses by the blue sea … It was like an idyllic fairy tale .

In conclusion, this has been one of the most enjoyed excursions I have ever gone to with highschool. I would definitely repeat it with no doubt.

The last week, i visited the capital of cadiz with my institute class and my teachers, we visited the most important places in cadiz, for example the "monumento a las cortes","el oratorio","museo de las cortes" and "torre tavira". In cadiz visiting these places i learned more things about what happened in the past with the capital, for example, it was the only city that the French did not invade.

The place i liked least was the "monumento de las cortes" because there were many people and i did not listen to teacher speak.

And the place that i liked the most was "la torre tabira", because from above you could see cadiz and i loved the invetion where what was happening at that time was projected.

I think the visit to cadiz was worth it because i had lunch at a bar. Cadiz's capital is very pretty.

  31. The trip was very long and I got tired on the bus. The bus had a journey of two hours and it was very cold because it was not very warm.

When we arrived in Cadiz we went to see a monument that represented the Constitution of 1812. This is very interesting because the monument could be seen from anywhere in the province of Cadiz.it also has a statue of a woman who has the Constitution in her right hand and a sword in her left hand.

Then we went to a museum where all the history of the province of Cadiz was very good.
Then we had a break to go to breakfast, my friends and I went to the BurguerKing to have breakfast, but then we had to go to Dark Chamber which is a dome where we can see the whole city in real time by a mirror, it was very crazy. People were dizzy a lot.

This experience has been impressive, I have learned many new things.

Later we went to the oratory, the indoors of the oratory was amazing but the person who was explaing the oratory was a bit boring.

Then we went to the best place "Torre Tavira", in the tower we could see all Cádiz with a pinhole camera, the pinhole camera projects all Cádiz thanks to a mirror.

  33. Some days ago we went to Cádiz a city were the Constitución were founded and was very important in the History of Spain.

A thing that impressed me was when during the Guerra de la Independencia Española, french shot around 15000 bullets of cannons and only 500 (more or less) arrived to the city.
The Museum was an interesting place were you can see things like weapons, manuscripts, war medals, etc but not copies, these objects were the originals since that time. In the Museum there was also a detailed model of the city of Cádiz where you could see how the city was in the past.

But the best place for me was Torre Tavira where there was the "Cámara Oscura". There, there was an amazing 360º view of the city in real time and you could see the impressive Cathedral of Cádiz. Simply, amazing.

Honestly, there are no things that I haven´t liked. I enjoyed so much this trip and I learn interesting things that are still valid today like the Constitución Española of 1812 a historic moment for Spain so I recommend to visit Cádiz, really worth it.

  34. Last wednesday I visited Cadiz with my class to see some places related to Cadiz Courts and The Constitution called "La Pepa". We went to learn new things about these topics, because they are related to our new history unit.

I really liked "Tower Tavira", a big tower where we could see the whole city from the top of the tower. There, we also saw the city in a " Camara obscura", where we could see what was happening outside of the tower thanks to two lenses which project the city on a screen while a guide was explaining everything about Cadiz.

I didn't like the Monument of the Courts and the "Oratorio de San Felipe Neri", because two men where talking a lot about these places. I was bored with their explanations and I don't learn a lot about these places.

I think the excursion worth it because it could help us with the history subject and I was amazed with the "Camara Obscura". I really recommend it to learn about culture and history of Sapin.

  35. About two weeks ago, our history teacher suggested going to Cadiz on a trip and all my classmates and I agreed. Finally, we went last Wednesday, 6 of November, and personally, the truth is that it was one of my favorite trips.

The ugliest part of the trip was the journey by bus. We spent almost 2 hours to go! Furthermore, when we arrived there, we had to divide our group in different sections so I couldn’t stay with all my friends.

Nevertheless, in spite of these disadvantages, we could visit three of the most viewed monuments of Cadiz. First of all, we visited the “oratorio San Felipe Neri” where a man told us the history of Cadiz. Afterwards we went to a museum and lastly, we went to Torre Tavira, where we learned how a camara obscura works. That was for me my favorite part!

In conclusion, I spent a really nice day with my friends at the same time that I was learning. Moreover, we had even free time to visit the cathedral. In my opinion it was really worth it and I would definetely recommend it to future students.

On the one hand, what I liked least was the museum, the only thing I liked there was the model of the city of Cádiz that had. Then there were only portaits of ancient kings and didn’t like there.

On the other hand, the Tavira tower was that I liked the most, especially the dark chamber that was there. It consisted of a mirror located on top of the tower that showed the all city and was reflected in a white panel.

We were visiting many places such as the 1812 constitution monument, the museum of the courts, and the Tavira Tower, where we saw the dark chamber.

Cádiz is small but very pretty and we visit many places in it. What struck me most was the Tavira Tower where we could see the dark chamber that is there. It is a dark room where on a white platform it is reflected with a magnifying glass and the images of Cadiz in real time are passing through the light.

I had a great day with my friends and colleagues. The day became quite short and we didn't have much time. I would have liked to visit more places in Cádiz like the Falla Theater where the traditional Cádiz Carnival is celebrated, which is the most important festival there.

In conclusion, I think we had a great day to be all together and visit new and interesting places. I really liked the view of Cádiz and would love to come back. I recommend those people who don't know her to visit her because she is beautiful.

To conclude, the trip was very entertaining and I had a great time visiting the city with my friends . So, I would go again.

  39. Last week, all second year of bachillerato high school courses went on a trip to the lovely city of Cadiz. We visited the most important monuments of Cádiz related to the Cádiz Constitution of 1812 to be able to understand exactly the new until of Spain´s history.

One of the things that disappointed me about the trip was the visit to the Oratory of St.Philip Neri,a large church with charm and elegance in every detail, but from my point of view we lost too much time with this monuments.Another point worth mentioning is the fact that the explanation of the oratory was quite long and boring, which made many of my classmates and I did not enjoy it.

On the other hand, after the disappointment I felt for the explanation of the church we went to visit the Tavira Tower,if you ask me about this was what I enjoyed the most.It was worth the large number of steps that we had to climb because we could see Cádiz from a room without having to move thanks to a huge spyglass that showed us the city clearly.A further point is the great kidness and sympathy of the woman who explained this activity to us.

To sum up, I think that the excursion has helped us a lot to a better understanding of the history of Spain, we could also get to know parts of this city that most of my classmates and I did not know.

  40. Last week, second year bachellor students went sightseeing to the historical city of Cadiz. It was extremely significant in 19 century because, of the so called "Cortes de Cadiz", and the Constitution of 1812.
The first thing we saw was the famous monument dedicated to the Constitution of 1812, a large marvellous marble sculpture that show the symbols of that Constitution. Then we visited the Oratorio of San Felipe Neri where a guide was telling us about how the Constitution was signed and what happened at that time in Cadiz. He also gave us a detailed description about both its structure and decoration.
After that, we moved on to the Cortes Museum. There were so many object of that time , like paintings, documents, even rifles and axes! Finally we went to the Tavira Tower where we enjoyed fantastic views. We also enjoyed the detailed views of the Dark Chamber and I felt like a spy!
In conclusion, the old city of Cadiz is one of the most interesting places in Spain. Therefore, I recommend eat a delicious "pescaito frito" (fried fish) in front of the Cathedral.

  41. Last wednesday, all second Bachillerato students went to Cadiz to visit some of the most important historical monuments that are there. We did some different activities, ones more interesting than others.

On the one hand, one of the things that we did, it was the visit to the "Oratorio de San Felipe Neri". It was very dull because of the explanations that the men made. In spite of that, this place was very beautiful.

On the other hand, I enjoy visiting the rest of the things so much. For instance, I was keen on the museum, it was very interesting and the mock-up of Cadiz was incredible. Furthermore, the monument "Constitución de Cadiz" was so cold and entertaining. Finally, the thing I liked the most it was the "Torre Tavira", due to the views were awesome and also the "Pinhole Camera", that was the best part of the trip.

To sum up, I reckon, that learning this way is more enjoyable and better for us, because this type of things appeals more to teenegers, to learn new knowledge.
